There are ways you can enhance your holiday, ensuring that you have a happy holiday experience and one you won’t forget for a long time.
Do you believe you can have a Healthy, Happy Holiday this year? I believe you can! But first, the 100%. You may have heard me say that for lasting results, we help our customers focus 80% on what they eat, 20% on how they move their bodies, and 100% on how they manage their minds.
Make it Stop!
Let’s begin by understanding what most people dread about the holiday season. Often the dread overtakes the joy, and we’re left with something other than the vision of sugarplums dancing in our heads!
The Consumer Reports National Research Center conducted a survey and asked people what they dread most about the holiday season. The results are likely exactly what you would expect:
68%: Crowds and long lines
37%: Gaining weight
37%: Getting into debt
28%: Gift shopping
25%: Traveling
24%: Seeing certain relatives
16%: Having to attend holiday parties or events
15%: Having to be nice (I am assuming this means being nice to people you do not like!?)
12%: Holiday tipping
But what about the joy associated with all of this negativity… I mean, is it possible to make all of the above FUN and filled with HEALTH?!?!
Some of these things are completely within our ability to manage and control. Others require us to manage our minds and our attitudes during this hectic and FUN time of year.
Call me an idealist, but I DO believe it is possible to maintain our health and remain stress-free during this time of year!
