Italian Sandwich Kebobs
This is one of those fun kebob recipe ideas where you take food, deconstruct it, and throw it on a stick. For this type of skewer, think of your favorite Italian sandwich and how it’s made … then grab your favorite type of skewer and assemble!
You can begin with chunks of Italian bread, but it definitely isn’t required. Instead, add some Italian meats like pepperoni and salami, chunks of provolone or mozzarella cheese, and veggies like cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, and onions.
Top it off with pepperoncini or olives….! Yum!
Fruit Kebobs
There is nothing easier than making a healthy kebob with fruit. Fun for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Grab all your favorite summer fruits, chop them into chunks, and add them to your barbecue skewer.
You can even put these on the grill for a few minutes, but that isn’t required. Good fruits include grapes, pineapple, mango, watermelon, honeydew, and strawberries. Feel free to add some cheese or prosciutto.
Teriyaki Chicken Kebobs
For more of a full meal on the kebob, this is a delicious healthy kebob recipe. Marinade chicken in a teriyaki marinade for three hours (or overnight). Thread chicken, pineapple, bell pepper, onion, zucchini, and tomato on a barbecue skewer.
Grill over medium heat, turning and basting with the marinade while cooking. Count on 12-16 minutes total, or until the internal temp of the chicken reaches 165 degrees.
Pasta Salad On A Stick
Why not a pasta salad kebob recipe? Cook up your favorite type of tortellini pasta, drain and cool. Toss in a bowl with favorite pasta salad ingredients: bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, olives, chunks of pepperoni, or Italian salami.
Toss in your favorite Italian dressing, then load onto a skewer. Offer additional dressing on the side for your pals! If you liked these tips and want a steady diet of tips, recipes, and workouts delivered to your inbox, join our VIP Newsletter here.
